Questionnaire results and Conclusions

The most popular colour scheme for my magazine was brown and biege. However, brown and biege doesn't follow the codes and conventions of an indie magazine, so I'll go with the secnod most popular option, which is red, white and black. I also asked them if I should have a specific different colour for each issue, as well as the main colour scheme, and they said yes. So the exclusive part of the front cover will be in blue.

The people I interviewed seemed to want a high angle shot, rather than a low angle shot. They also would prefer the image in be in direct address for the front cover.

The people I interviewed thought the best price would be £3.50, as it is not too cheap, but it's not too expensive.

The most popular option was to publish the magazine weekly. However, monthly would be better, as a lot of indie magazines are published monthly, so it will look more professional.
The best issue size seems to be 60-70 pages, which is ideal, because it's not too long then.
I asked this question, because even though I'm not interviewing any of them, these 4 bands are all indie, but on different levels of indie, so I wanted to know what styles of indie was the most popular. Artic Monkeys was the most popular, so I will feature them in my magazine.

People like to read interviews more than reviews. This is due to that the readers like to read the bands opinions and answers, whereas a review would be my own opinion on the band.

I thought people would like to read an interview on a more popular band, but they seemed to like local bands more.

Half the people I asked prefer an interview as an article. The least popular article was the tragic moments, so when I ask them questions in the interview, I will not ask them anything tragic.

The people I interviewed thought the ideal age range would be 15-17 year olds. Therefore, my age range will be aimed at 15-17 year olds.

Half the people I asked seemed to like the title 'Unmute'. However, the last person I interviewed picked 'Other' and said they would like the name 'Only Indie' and I feel that if I asked all the people again, they would like 'Only Indie' better, so I'm going to call it 'Only Indie'.

Over 3/4 of the people I asked, seemed to want a serious look for the front cover, therefore I will make sure when I'm doing the photo shoot, that I get a picture of the singer doing a serious face.

The most popular opinion for the double page spread was to do funny. However, a funny mise-en-scene won't suit the singer that I'm interviewing, as she is a more serious singer and has more serious looks, so I'll go with the second most populat option, which is serious.

As the pie chart shows, the most popular genre was indie, which is good, because that means that the people I asked will know more about indie music than other musics. So it was better for me to interview someone who liked indie music, than someone who likes pop music. This is because the person who likes pop music, wouldn't know as much about an indie magazine, as someone who like indie music would.
